Career Spotlight—What exactly is a ParaPro, anyway?
Parapro is the name of our career certification class for teaching assistants.  Students not only spend time two mornings a week in our classroom, learning the tricks of the trade from experienced teachers who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of students,  but they also get the opportunity to have actual field field experiences two afternoons per week, rotating through our very own Wayne Township classrooms, working with students of all ages and abilities

This class is completely free and only lasts 6 weeks!  We also pay the testing fee for the Parapro exam for our students, taking the financial pressure off of those who have a passion for working in the classroom.

Classes begin and end with a guest appearance from Kyle Fessler, HR director of Wayne Township Schools, so students have an excellent opportunity to be hired by the school system in a position they will love!  This is a great career for students who have not only a heart for kids, but also a need to be on a school schedule, with the same vacation time that students enjoy!  Because Wayne Township is a district with students from over sixty countries, there is a high need for paraprofessionals who are bilingual, and those who are hired in that specialty are to use those bilingual skills can earn $4.75 more per hour!

Our students need great adults working in their classrooms alongside their classroom teachers.  If this is something you would love to do, let us help you get there!  Just click the button below!
Career Spotlight—What does a Sterile Processing Technician do?
One of the new career certifications we offer is a Sterile Processing Technician. This career is in high demand, and many hospitals are eager to hire people with this certification RIGHT NOW. A sterile processing technician is responsible for sterilizing surgical tools and equipment for the operating room. In this critical role, you would ensure that patients undergoing surgery are safe from infection. With all the surgeries being performed today, it's easy to see why this career is in high demand! If this sounds like something you would love to do, we can help you get started!
